Micro Jenisys, Inc. Launches New Web site for Broward County Schools
Office of Parents, Business and Community Partnerships

Ft. Lauderdale, FL  – Getting Involved in Education just got a lot easier in Broward County with the launch of www.getinvolvedineducation.com the main umbrella site for Broward County School’s Office of Parents, Business and Community Partnerships.

Over the last year and half, five sub sites have been redesigned:

One additional site, Superintendent’s Screening Committee, is currently being developed. The entire series of sites were developed by Micro Jenisys, Inc. a local web technologies company in partnership with the district staff working in the Parents, Business and Community Partnerships department.

“It’s been so exciting to see each page completed and now that the main landing page is finished we are thrilled with how it has all come together,” said Merrie Meyers-Kershaw, Director, Office of Parents, Business and Community Partnerships. “We’ve worked really hard to make the site user friendly by including materials that parents, volunteers and community partners request most often.  We’ve also included some photos so the community can see how these programs directly benefit students. The response from the parents and community members who use our sites has been so positive.”

The re-designed pages each have their own color scheme and individual personalized design elements while still incorporating structural design commonalities to convey that they all belong to the same web site, providing a sense of cohesion for users as they move throughout the site.

This has been a wonderful project to work on,” said Jennifer Anastasi, Micro Jenisys, Inc., CEO.  “Our challenge was to take these six areas of the web site and give them their own identity while still retaining enough of a sense of unity. We are very pleased with the final outcome and look forward continuing our relationship with Broward County Schools as we maintain their sites and keep them updated.”

With the economy and school budgets under tremendous pressure, it was important to district staff that no school board funds be used to underwrite the development of the web site. Sponsorship dollars, generated through special event activities were used instead.

Established in 1997, Micro Jenisys, Inc. provides expert custom web site and graphic design services. For more information visit www.microjenisys.com.
